About me

Hi! I’m Katie Kloos, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR) in Pennsylvania. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with minors in Psychology and Writing, then earned my Master’s in Art Therapy & Counseling. My approach is caring, authentic, and strength-based; I want you to feel supported, challenged when needed, and warmly encouraged as you move toward growth.

I’ve worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, leading art therapy groups with adults and holding individual sessions with clients aged 3 to 70. Because of those experiences, I deeply believe in seeing the whole person: understanding how past, environment, community, values, identity, and relationships shape us.

I especially enjoy working with older children, adolescents, and adults into their 20s. If you ever feel burdened by perfectionism, social expectations, or trying to “do it all” (academics, relationships, identity, responsibilities), you’re not alone. Many of my clients are also navigating questions of who they are, how they identify, or how to be authentic in families or communities that may not fully understand them. Whether you’re exploring gender, finding your voice, or feeling like you’ve had to hide parts of yourself to feel safe, therapy can be a place where those pieces are welcomed without judgment. I use a mix of creative and art modalities (you don’t have to already think of yourself as “artistic”), talk therapy, mindfulness, play, and client-centered strategies. I also value being inclusive and affirming, especially for folks in the LGBTQ+ community.
